A hand holds a smartphone displaying a scam text about an unpaid toll with a fake link, warning of penalties. Bold text above says “BEWARE!” and below, a message reads, “That overdue toll text? It’s a scam. Real notices come by mail.” Logo: SEIDULE LAW.

What You Need to Know:

  • Fake texts claim you owe SunPass or E-ZPass tolls

  • Links lead to scam sites designed to steal your info

  • Victims have lost thousands through debit and credit fraud

  • Scammers are now impersonating health insurance companies too

  • Real toll agencies and insurers never request payment by text

  • Don’t click links or share personal info via random texts

  • Delete the message. Don’t reply. Don’t engage

  • When in doubt, log in to your official toll or insurance account
